Need to speak with our clinical pharmacy team? We are here to assist with your medication queries.
At Asepticare, we believe that no two patients are the same and your medication shouldn't be either. Where standard commercial medicines offer a fixed dose in a fixed form, compounding gives us the ability to prepare medications precisely matched to your individual needs: the right strength, the right delivery method and the right ingredients for you.
Many skin conditions require a highly targeted approach that over-the-counter and standard prescription products cannot deliver. We prepare formulations at the precise strength and in the exact base that suits your skin type and condition with or without preservatives, fragrances or other excipients that may irritate sensitive skin.
We prepare custom topical treatments for a wide range of dermatological conditions, including:
Acne
Eczema and atopic dermatitis
Anti-ageing
Hyperpigmentation and melasma
Psoriasis
Rosacea
Scarring and wound healing
Alopecia
Hormonal health is deeply individual and standard commercial medications simply cannot account for the unique needs of every patient. Our compounds are prepared using hormones that are chemically identical to those your body naturally produces, formulated to the precise dose, strength and delivery method prescribed by your health practitioner.
Whether managing menopause symptoms such as hot flushes, mood swings and sleep disturbances, or addressing andropause and other hormonal imbalances, compounded HRT can be delivered in the form that works best for you, such as creams, troches, capsules and gels.
Men's health concerns are more common than many realise, yet they often go undiscussed and undertreated. Conditions such as low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, reduced libido and prostate concerns can have a significant impact on energy, confidence, relationships and overall quality of life. At Asepticare we offer personalised men's health solutions with customised compounded medications tailored to individual needs and health goals.
Our experienced team can compound nutritional supplements, such as vitamins and minerals, into various forms including powders, capsules, troches and solutions that are customised to suit individual patient needs. Patients can access precisely formulated nutritional preparations to support their unique requirements without relying on mass-produced supplements that may contain unnecessary fillers, allergens or unsuitable doses.
Our specialised team of oncology pharmacists are dedicated to providing the best service in all areas of oncology care. Our oncology compounds are prepared exclusively within a purpose-built negative-pressure environment, ensuring the integrity of every preparation and the well-being of our staff, protecting them from exposure to cytotoxic agents.
Getting children to take medication can be a significant challenge, particularly when a commercial product is only available as a large tablet, has an unpleasant taste or contains allergens such as gluten, lactose or artificial dyes.
Our paediatric compounding service bridges the gap between what is commercially available and what a child actually needs, transforming difficult-to-swallow tablets into flavoured liquids, adjusting doses to suit a child's age and weight, and removing allergens or additives that may cause sensitivities. Every formulation we prepare for young patients is made with their comfort and safety as the priority, giving parents confidence and giving children a far more positive experience with their treatment.
Chronic pain is complex and, for many patients, standard oral pain medications either don't provide adequate relief or cause unwanted side effects such as drowsiness, gastrointestinal upset or dependency risks. Compounded pain medicines offer an alternative: formulations targeted precisely to where and how you experience pain.
We prepare topical creams and transdermal gels that deliver active ingredients directly through the skin to the affected area, reducing systemic exposure. We can also prepare oral formulations, troches and suppositories where appropriate.
We work with a range of active ingredients including anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants and nerve pain agents, formulated to your prescriber's specifications.
At Asepticare, our purpose-built facility is equipped to meet the demands of compounding sterile products to the highest standards of expertise, precision and environmental control. Featuring four ISO Class 7 clean rooms, we can compound both sterile aseptic and cytotoxic products, including ophthalmic drops and ointments, and injections. Our clean rooms are continuously monitored to maintain particulate counts, temperature, humidity and pressure at specified levels. Whether a sterile preparation is not commercially available, or a specific concentration or allergen-free formulation is required, patients can rely on our rigorous quality assurance processes to produce safe, effective results.
From flavoured liquids and transdermal gels to capsules and oral suspensions, our compounding pharmacists work directly with veterinarians across Australia to prepare medications tailored to each animal's species, size and clinical needs. Medications that have been discontinued or are no longer commercially available can be formulated to the required strength or form. Whether you have a dog, cat, bird, or even an exotic pet, we will work with your veterinarian to prepare your animal's medicine in a form or flavour that is simpler to administer.
A note on compounded medications in Australia
Compounded medications are prepared under the exemption provisions of the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 for an identified individual patient with a specific therapeutic need. They are not TGA-registered therapeutic goods and are not subsidised under the PBS. Patients are responsible for the full cost of their compounded medicines, paid directly to the pharmacy. Depending on their policy, patients may be eligible to claim part of the cost through private health insurance. All Asepticare compounding practices are conducted in accordance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia Guidelines on Compounding of Medicines.
